Sample Showcase - Freebie Box!

Sample Showcase offers boxes of samples.  It looks like will be offering a new box of samples in 5 days.  Sign up now so you don't forget.

Here are the details about the box:
The “Sample Showcase,” to be distributed nationally on a limited basis, is a box of assorted beauty, health and snack food items from multiple consumer packaged goods companies. The boxes will be branded with the Postal Service logo and include the tagline, “A selection of free product samples.”

Another strategy behind the pilot test is making sure that direct mail is the sampling method of choice. The co-op box concept, which allows candy bars to be marketed with skin lotions, for example, is expected to make direct mail sampling more attractive because it allows multiple manufacturers to share in the marketing and postage costs of the program.

So to sign up to get in on this round, head here.

Possible Hy-Vee Cheap Kraft Cheese

On Friday and Saturday, Hy-Vee is having a 2 day sale with some really good deals.

Kraft shredded cheese is on sale for 3 for $4 or $1.25 each.  There is also a $5 catalina if you buy 5 participating Kraft items.  Hopefully shredded cheese is included.  A catalina is a coupon that prints after you check out and is good on anything in the store.  Even without using any other coupons, that would make the cheese .25 a bag.  That is definitely a stock up price.

There are coupons for $1 off 2 Kraft shredded cheese in the 3/13 SmartSource insert.  With this coupon, you can get 2 packages of cheese for $1.50.  That's .75 each which is still pretty good.  If the catalina is good on shredded cheese and you buy 5 and use 2 of the $1/2 coupons, you would pay $4.25 and get a catalina for $5 off your next offer.  That's a .75 Money Maker!

Remember shredded cheese freezes well so you don't need to worry about buying too much.

Pinecone Research

Pinecone Research has paid surveys and is one of the best survey places online.  I joined a few years ago and have been paid at least $3 for every survey since.  Sometimes they will mail you a sample of the product to test at home.  You get paid more to do this and you get the product free!

They are especially looking for men and women age 18-24.

Check out this post here for the link to apply.

Great deal on Walgreens brand diapers

This week, Walgreens diapers are $5.99 a pack and there is a $10 rebate if you buy $25 worth of Walgreens brand items.   There is also a $2 coupon in the Walgreens infant care book (this may or may not be at your Walgreens, if you don't see it, ask for it) which will take off $2 for each pack of diapers you buy.   The deal looks like this:

Buy 5 packs of Walgreens brand diapers - $5.99 each
Total $29.95
- $2 W Brand Diapers Jumbo Pack (2844) Infant Care Book (Takes off $10)
Pay $19.95 + tax

You should get a mail in rebate form that you can send in for another $10 off.  After the rebate and the coupon, the diapers are $1.99 a pack.  I've heard that Walgreens diapers are pretty good so I will definitely be getting diapers this week or getting a raincheck.

FREE batteries and cheap paper at Staples 3/27 - 4/2

This week Staples is giving 100% back in rewards when you buy a pack of 20 AA or AAA Duracell batteries for $12.99.  That means you pay $12.99 but you will get $12.99 back in rewards to spend at a later date at Staples.  This offer is limited to two per household.  You do need a rewards card (like a membership card) and you can sign up for the card for free in the store.

Staples also has reams of Hammermill 8.5" x 11" printer paper for $1 after rebate.  They are $5.99 and you will get back $4.99 as a rebate.  This offer also has a limit of two per household.  This is slightly different as you will get this back as a rebate, like a check or a Visa gift card instead of rewards but you will still need a rewards card to get the rebate.  You will also need to submit this rebate online or in the mail.  The instructions for submitting the rebate will print with your receipt.

If you already have Staples rewards to spend, do not use them to buy the batteries because you will not get all of your rewards back.  You can, however, use your rewards on the paper and get the full rebate.

Welcome to Kiera Loves Coupons

My name is Katrina.  I remembered my mom used coupons when I was little.  A couple years ago, she pointed out that you can print coupons and so I started doing some research online and found out that I could save a lot of money that way.  I started using coupons right away and never looked back.  My favorite stores to shop are Walgreens, Target, and Walmart.

Kiera is actually my daughter.  I got the title of this blog from her.  I left her alone for a couple minutes and came back to find my coupon file holder almost empty and coupons all over the floor.  She was picking each one up like she was reading it.  We decided we had to get her a coupon file holder of her own.  Here she is with her coupons.
